Which achievements are you most proud of?
I earned my Six Sigma Blue Belt Certification in my first year with the company, successfully designed a noise elimination package, and was recently selected for the newly created Reliability Engineer position.
What has been the most challenging part of your work?
The most challenging part of my work is coordinating work between different departments.
When you decided you wanted to make a career move, how did you make it happen for yourself?
When I was offered the position of Reliability Engineer, I looked at it as an opportunity to expand my technical skill set. I had to train myself in reliability engineering techniques with the help of our senior staff members. I enjoyed working with that team and my manager’s support made my transition smooth.
What career development opportunities have you been able to participate in at Manitowoc?
I have had several career development opportunities including Six Sigma Red Belt and Blue Belt training, Team Leadership Development Process (TLDP), Weld Design Seminar, Pro/E training, Minitab Reliability training, and GD & T training.
Where do you see yourself with the company in 5 years?
I see myself to an integral part of our company's efforts in improving our product reliability.
