• UK-based lifting and equipment provider Southern Cranes has ordered 10 Grove all-terrain cranes, including GMK5150XL, GMK5250XL-1, and GMK3060L-1 all-terrain models.
• The first GMK5250XL-1 has already been delivered and the complete order will be fulfilled by midyear.
• The new cranes are all three- and five-axle units, and form part of the company’s wider fleet modernization and diversification strategy.
• The family-owned lifting and handling company purchased its first Grove crane, a GMK6300L-1, in 2021.
• Now it has added a second, a GMK5150XL, following many positive experiences with the GMK6300L-1.
• The new crane got right to work at a local factory, supplying materials for work on the facility’s rooftop.
• The 100 t capacity Grove GRT8100-1 was displayed in Italy for the first time after its global launch at bauma 2022 in Germany at the end of last year.
• Also on display were the Grove GMK5250XL-1 and GMK5150XL all-terrain cranes.
• The show took place in Piacenza, just 50 km south of Milan, and welcomed visitors from throughout Italy and the rest of the world.
