Grove GMK5250L makes its Southern Africa debut at world’s richest diamond mine

Officials at Jwaneng diamond mine have taken delivery of the mine’s first 250 t Grove GMK5250L all-terrain crane. Not only is this model crane a first for the Botswana-based mine it’s also the first ever GMK5250L crane to be delivered in Southern Africa.

J. Hewitt Crane Hire boost rental fleet with Grove GMK5250L

The Grove GMK5250L has quickly become a hit with lifting companies looking to bolster their capabilities with an all-terrain crane that has the highest capacity and best load charts in its class. J. Hewitt Crane Hire is the latest company to add the 250 t (300 USt) crane to its fleet and chose the crane for its (70 m) 230-ft boom reach and its five-axle maneuverability. The company also saw benefit in the crane’s VIAB turbo clutch and integrated retarder which eliminates both fluid overheating and clutch burning.

KIL commemorates 41 years of partnership with Potain at CONEXPO 2017

Manitowoc Cranes held a special ceremony for Korea International Ltd (KIL) at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada. The companies celebrated their long successful partnership with a champagne toast calling special attention to KIL’s 41-year track record of being the exclusive dealer of Potain cranes in South Korea.

Potain Hup cranes showcased at Italian trade fair SaMoTer

Last month the Potain Hup 40-30 crane was presented at international earth-moving and building machinery exhibition SaMoTer in Verona Italy. Verona-based Potain dealer Toffoli Macchine exhibited the pioneering crane alongside the Hup 32-27 and Igo 21.

Grove rough-terrain cranes power hydroelectric dam in Peru

A team of five Grove rough-terrain cranes helped to build the 525 MW-capacity Cerro del Aguila hydroelectric power plant in the province of Tayacaja Peru. Two Grove RT530E-2s two RT765E-2s and a RT9130E-2 were all working long shifts on the four-year project that will alleviate the country’s fast-growing demand for electricity.

Indian rental giant Sanghvi Movers orders 18 Grove cranes

India’s largest crane rental company Sanghvi Movers Limited has ordered 18 Grove GMK6300L all-terrain cranes.

It only took two days after the new Grove GRT655L rough-terrain crane was unveiled at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada for one of Manitowoc Cranes’ long-standing customers to celebrate the purchase of the ground-breaking model. Groves Equipment Rental (GER) was joined by key members of Manitowoc’s staff for a champagne toast to commemorate the occasion. The Groves Texas-based rental house was also presented with a celebratory plaque and a customized hand-painted hard hat (one of only a dozen made).

Potain MD 569 delivers precise lifting for German engineering company’s pipe production

One of the first tower cranes from the new MD CCS series the Potain MD 569 has been delivered to Potain dealer Steenhoff in East Frisia Germany. The company took delivery of the crane with its first customer already waiting to use the new crane RMT Rohr- und Maschinenanlagentechnik (RMT).

Manitowoc Cranes held a special ceremony for NFT Specialized in Tower Cranes the premier Potain dealer in the Middle East at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada. North American Crane & Rigging celebrated the expansion of its rental fleet at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada. The Providence Rhode Island-based company purchased two new Potain MDT 389 tower cranes from Shawmut Equipment—based in Manchester Connecticut—and celebrated with Manitowoc Cranes during a ceremony at the Manitowoc booth which included a champagne toast between the three companies.

Montarent celebrates the purchase of four Potain Igo 21 self-erecting tower cranes at CONEXPO 2017

Netherlands-based Montarent significantly expanded its fleet of self-erecting tower cranes at CONEXPO 2017 purchasing four new Potain Igo 21 units at the trade show. The company celebrated the occasion with Manitowoc Cranes during a champagne toast with leadership from both companies participating. The commemoration marked the expansion of Montarent’s lifting capabilities as well as its extensive utilization of Potain cranes.

Bronson Crane purchases first Potain Hup 40-30 in North America at CONEXPO 2017

Bronson Crane is the first North American equipment distributor to purchase Potain’s new Hup 40-30 self-erecting tower crane a milestone which was just celebrated at the Manitowoc Cranes booth at CONEXPO 2017. Key staff members from Manitowoc presented the Salt Lake City-based company with a commemorative plaque and a limited edition hand-painted hard hat to commemorate the occasion and a champagne toast followed soon after.
