Grove TMS500-2 assists helicopter to install antenna on radio tower in Maryland

Digging and Rigging a crane and rigging company based out of Mount Airy Maryland deployed a Grove TMS500-2 truck crane to assist a helicopter with the installation of a new radio tower in Clear Spring Maryland. The helicopter air-lifted the 5-USt tower antenna while the truck crane helped tail it until it was in a complete vertical position.

Manitowoc introduces new National Crane NBT60L boom truck

The Manitowoc Company has launched the NBT60L the latest addition to its National Crane boom truck product line. This 60 USt product offering now features the longest boom length in its tonnage class with 151 ft of main boom and a maximum main boom height of 161 ft. It can be equipped with an optional 36 ft off-settable lattice jib that reaches a 196 ft maximum tip height providing a winning combination of exceptional capacity and reach that is unmatched in the industry.

Manitowoc opens new facility in the Philippines

Manitowoc has opened a new 2 900 m2 facility with a warehouse and a workshop in Molino Cavite south of the Philippines capital Manila. The facility stocks parts for Potain tower cranes including popular models such as the MCR 160 MCR 225 A MCT 205 as well as parts for Grove mobile cranes such as the RT530E-2 RT765E-2 and the GMK6300L. Construction of the new facility was completed in July this year and Manitowoc staff have already moved in.

Two of Manitowoc Cranes’ key Belgian distributors are presenting a range of its equipment at MATEXPO 2019 Belgium’s biggest trade fair for construction machinery taking place in Kortrijk Belgium between 11-15 September.

Grove and National Crane to show utility strength at ICUEE 2019

Manitowoc Cranes will showcase a trio of cranes that thrive in utilities applications at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition 2019 (ICUEE). At outdoor booth N2021 the company will highlight the Grove GHC30 telescoping crawler crane and a pair of National Crane boom trucks: the NTC55L and NBT30H-2 TM.

Walter Payton Power Equipment opens new state-of-the-art facility in Indiana to help support Manitowoc Cranes

Walter Payton Power Equipment (WPPE) has completed construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in Lebanon Indiana just south of its previous Lebanon location. The new location is on 4 acres of land making it the largest dedicated crane repair facility in Indiana and Kentucky. It is visible from Interstate I-65 and boasts significant improvements that will help better serve Manitowoc Grove and National Crane customers.

Manitowoc launches strong and versatile Potain MCT 325

Manitowoc has launched the Potain MCT 325 to further expand its popular MCT range of topless cranes. As with other cranes in the range the MCT 325 is designed to deliver easier transport and assembly plus high efficiency and reliability on construction projects. The company unveiled the new crane during a special event at Manitowoc’s factory in Zhangjiagang China on August 29 where the 16 t version of the MCT 325 was displayed with its full 75 m jib.

Shawmut Equipment opens new facility in Halifax to help support demand for Manitowoc cranes

Shawmut Equipment of Canada one of Manitowoc Crane’s dealer partners for success in North America has opened a new facility in Elmsdale Canada near Halifax in Nova Scotia. The new location will serve as the company’s Canadian headquarters and comes as demand for its products and services has been constantly expanding in the region.

Manitowoc’s Niella Tanaro plant adds new Grove GRT655/655L rough-terrain cranes to production line-up

The first Grove GRT655L and GRT655 rough terrain cranes have been assembled at Manitowoc’s Niella Tanaro plant. The news comes almost exactly one year after it was announced that GRT880 and GRT8100 rough terrain cranes would begin production from the Italian factory – the first to be produced outside of Shady Grove Pennsylvania USA. What’s more given the success of the production of GRT8100 and GRT880 models from Niella Tanaro Manitowoc has decided to expand the product portfolio of its European production.
