Grove GMK5150L and GMK5250L make North American debut

For the first time in North America Manitowoc will feature the GMK5150L and GMK5250L at a tradeshow. The two new all-terrain cranes will be a major highlight for CONEXPO 2017 and are sure to draw a crowd to the company’s booth.

Grove GMK5250L combines precise control and lifting power in downtown Dortmund

In late October German firm Autokrane Schares used the Grove GMK5250L all-terrain crane in downtown Dortmund during the construction of a new building that leases storage boxes. Schares chose to use the five-axle crane for its maneuverability as the job site had a tight entrance road and limited space in which to park the crane.

Potain MD 559 takes to the skies at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas

Manitowoc is set to debut the Potain MD 559 tower crane for the first time in North America at CONEXPO 2017. The 20 t (22 USt) crane will represent Potain’s MD CCS range which has the highest capacities of all its top-slewing trolleying tower cranes.

Grove GRT880 to be shown for first time in North America at CONEXPO 2017

Manitowoc will feature one of its newest rough-terrain cranes at its booth for CONEXPO 2017: the Grove GRT880. This crane has several class-leading capabilities and Manitowoc’s Crane Control System (CCS). It will be shown in the company’s booth; Gold Lot stand G3348.

Pair of GMK5250Ls completes tandem lift in tight quarters at Bamberg port

Merkel Autokrane recently faced a special challenge at Bamberg port. Its job was to lift a port crane and laterally load it onto a ship. The port crane weighed 92 t and was 18 m in height and was installed on a 3.5 m quay wall which limited the available space for another crane to lift it as it would have to be positioned between the quay wall and the Main-Danube canal.

Growing Potain crane fleet helps Vietnam’s Coteccons Group target expansion

One of Vietnam’s fastest growing construction companies Coteccons Group is using its fleet of Potain tower cranes to support its expansion plans. The company which has its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City is looking to extend its scope of operations not only across Vietnam but into the surrounding nations of South East Asia.
