B&K Equipment and Crane Service (B&K) is one of the latest North American companies to discover the benefits of Grove’s new lineup of rough-terrain cranes which have been designed and tested at Manitowoc’s Product Verification Center (PVC) to ensure dependability in a wide range of working environments. Wyalusing Pennsylvania-based B&K has been renting two Grove GRT8100 rough-terrain cranes for over a year. The 100 USt cranes have helped to streamline operations on several of the company’s projects including the construction of a gas-fired power plant.

Manitowoc’s new product development program has enjoyed its strongest year in recent times and the company’s efforts are being recognized with two cranes that were launched in 2017 earning industry awards. The prize-winning Manitowoc cranes are the Hup 40-30 self-erecting crane from Potain and the TMS9000-2 truck crane from Grove.

Schaak Kran & Transporte has taken delivery of a new Grove GMK5150L. The Stuttgart-based contracting company chose the five-axle all-terrain crane for its 150 t lifting capacity and 60 m boom among other visibility and software features.

Hermann Kranverleih is the first company to operate a Grove GMK5150L in the southern German region Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz). Mosites Construction & Development Company (Mosites) is working on a $93 million infrastructure project that will add seven new bridges along four miles of highway on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Pittsburgh. The pier caps of the first bridge have already been completed and two Manitowoc cranes – a Manitowoc MLC165-1 and a Grove GHC75 – were crucial to the success of the project.

White Construction is the first customer to use the crane which features the same best-in-class load charts and compact footprint as the original MLC300 but utilizes a fixed-position counterweight instead of a Variable Position Counterweight (VPC).

UK crane rental company Davies Crane Hire is the latest to bolster its fleet with the addition of long boom Grove all-terrain cranes. The company which has its headquarters in Carmarthen South Wales received a 300 t capacity GMK6300L and a 100 t capacity GMK4100L-1. The 100 t machine is based at the company’s main depot in Carmarthen while the 300 t unit operates out of its Port Talbot location although both cranes will travel extensively to offer coverage of the entire South Wales region and beyond.
