Buller Krane continues fleet expansion with new Grove GMK5120L
- German rental company continues its investment in Grove cranes with the addition of a versatile GMK5120L all-terrain crane.
- The company opted for several additional features including MAXbase™, a working light package, and a bi-fold swingaway jib.
German rental company Buller Krane has expanded its fleet of Grove all-terrain cranes with a new GMK5120L. The crane was sold through local dealer KranAgentur Werner, and will be used in construction and industrial applications. It combines strong lifting performance with excellent maneuverability, and efficient transport capabilities.
A key benefit of the GMK5120L is its taxi-crane flexibility, which enables travel in multiple axle load configurations. For example, it can travel with a 14.6 t counterweight inside a 12 t axle load limit; or with a 3.1 t counterweight at a 10 t axle load limit. This versatility enables efficient transport planning and flexible operation for owners.
Buller Krane also specified the crane with a 16 m hydraulic bi-fold swingaway jib, the MAXbase™ variable outrigger positioning system, and a working light package with additional LED lights to illuminate the area around the crane. These features enhance performance and expand the crane’s capabilities, particularly on challenging jobsites. Full customer support is provided by Manitowoc’s team of experienced mobile service technicians operating across Gemany and from the customer support center in Langenfeld.
Tobias Buller, managing director of Buller Krane, traveled to the Manitowoc factory in Wilhelmshaven to collect the new crane and was impressed with what he saw.
“We regularly take the opportunity to receive cranes in Wilhelmshaven and also visit the factory to see the latest developments. Like Buller Krane, Manitowoc has a dynamic approach to innovation, and we are excited to continue our partnership. The GMK5120L is a high-performance crane with powerful features and is perfect for our day-to-day operations,” he said.
Buller Krane is headquartered in Gelsenkirchen with additional locations in Greven and Duisburg. The company operates a diverse fleet of cranes, including multiple Grove all-terrains from the four-axle, five-axle, and six-axle ranges. The addition of the GMK5120L reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to modernizing its fleet and meeting evolving customer demands.
