  • Grúas Alhambra, one of southern Spain’s leading crane rental companies, took delivery of new Grove GMK5120L all‑terrain cranes at SMOPYC 2026 in Zaragoza, Spain.
  • The cranes will work primarily in construction, harnessing their versatility, reliability, and ease of operation.
  • The company’s partnership with Grove has flourished since 2018 and includes previous Grove GMK5250L and GMK6400 deliveries.

Grúas Alhambra, one of southern Spain’s leading crane rental companies, has strengthened its fleet with new Grove GMK5120L all-terrain cranes. The company formally received the cranes at this year‘s SMOPYC exhibition in Zaragoza. The handover marks the latest milestone in the long standing partnership between Grúas Alhambra and Grove, which dates to 2018. Grúas Alhambra will use the two 120 t capacity cranes primarily for construction, where versatility, reliability, and ease of operation are critical.

“Grove has again proved to be the right choice for our company. Our company is committed to investing in modern equipment, service quality, digital tools, and operator expertise — all of which are crucial in today’s demanding lifting market. We appreciate the excellent factory finish of the Grove cranes, in quality and overall performance. Just as important is Grove’s improved aftersales service which played a key role in our decision to add these units to our fleet,” said Abraham Molina, CEO of Grúas Alhambra.

Grúas Alhambra already operates several Grove all-terrain cranes. These are used for various projects, and especially the maintenance of wind turbines, where high lift capacity, long reach, and maximum reliability are needed.

With its latest deliveries, Grúas Alhambra has chosen a dedicated training program to ensure the operators can optimize their capabilities. Tailored training from Manitowoc ensures reliable operation and maximum efficiency, reflecting Grúas Alhambra's commitment to quality and professionalism. The cranes have also activated the Grove CONNECT™ telematics system, which enables remote condition monitoring and diagnostics.

The Grove GMK5120L has exceptional axle-load flexibility and combines strong lifting performance with a highly adaptable axle load design, and a range of counterweight options offering a choice of configurations. This allows owners to switch efficiently between configurations without complex or time consuming rigging, ensuring maximum uptime and logistical efficiency.

Grúas Alhambra has more than 80 employees and is located in the Andalusian city of Granada, with additional branches in Málaga and Jaén. With a modern fleet and a strong focus on training and customer service, Grúas Alhambra is a trusted partner for lifting solutions across southern Spain.
