Manitowoc expands regional presence with new facility in France
Manitowoc has opened a new regional customer support facility in Bouaye, located in the Loire-Atlantique department (44), in the southeastern suburbs of Nantes, France. This strategic move reinforces Manitowoc’s commitment to local customer support throughout the region.
The new site supports Potain and Grove customers with comprehensive service capabilities. The facility includes:
- Total land area: 11,000 m²
- Secure outdoor storage yard: 7,300 m², equipped with a Potain MD 365 yard crane (16-ton max load, 70 m jib)
- Indoor workshop: 600 m², including parts storage, mechanic, welding area and a 10-ton overhead crane
A dedicated team of technical experts will operate from the Bouaye site, offering:
- Preventive and curative maintenance through tailored service contracts
- Reconditioning and regulatory examinations for tower cranes
This investment is part of Manitowoc’s long-term strategy to enhance productivity and jobsite safety while delivering localized, high-quality service. The Bouaye facility complements Manitowoc’s existing network of eight service points across France: Bordeaux, Toulouse, Méru, Orléans, Dole, Lyon, Marseille, and Nice.
“Our new facility will allow us to better serve customers by improving service and repair capabilities, increasing parts availability. We are positioning ourselves to meet growing market demands with more products and better service offerings, making it easier for our customers to maintain and repair their cranes efficiently” said Jérôme Chanel Vice President Sales & Aftermarket Tower Europe.
