Manitowoc publishes first-ever digital edition of Looking Up

It’s with an eye toward innovation and the future that Manitowoc presents Looking Up magazine in electronic form for the first time.

As the next generation of crane professionals operators and distributors enters the workforce so too will new forms of communication. Today’s information technology offers several advantages over the printing press: photo galleries can appear in stunning detail; videos can be embedded within articles; readers can send links to articles or share them on social media and more.

To celebrate Looking Up’s foray into the digital world we’re kicking off this issue with a photo gallery that compiles the best pictures from the last few years. You’ll also find video content and stories that didn’t appear in our latest print edition. Our profile of Harrison Pa.-based Stephenson Equipment illustrates how one owner grew his crane business during the recession. We also check in with Manitowoc Finance and find that the staid economic outlook hasn’t slowed its growth either.

As for Manitowoc products this issue features the Grove RT9150E the largest rough-terrain crane in the world and its recent arrival in Australia. Also the new Boom Raise System for Manitowoc 16000 crawler cranes is on the market. We check it out to find out how the attachment can help on the job site.

We invite you to check out the issue here and don’t worry — this digital edition of Looking Up won’t replace the printed magazine.
