Koltho Elevación adds Grove GMK4080L as tower crane work diversifies

Spanish tower crane rental company Rafha Gruas Torre has purchased a new Grove GMK4080L for its mobile crane brand, Koltho Elevación. Tower crane work for Rafha Gruas Torre is continuing to expand into new areas, including the industrial segment. To help meet demand, the company wanted to add a reliable, long-boom all-terrain crane with the mobility and compactness to handle a growing range of jobsite conditions. The addition of the GMK4080L further strengthens Koltho Elevación’s ability to support complex tower crane projects across a wider range of applications.

Featuring a 60 m main boom, the GMK4080L delivers outstanding reach and lifting capabilities for tower crane erection. Its reach can be extended up to 77 m with additional jib sections, and the cab can be tilted upwards to 20° to give the operator greater comfort when positioning loads at height. For better maneuverability in urban areas or on congested industrial sites, the crane offers both a narrow 2.55 m width and a compact outrigger base of just 6.2 x 6.8 m. This impressive set-up allows the crane to work as an alternative to three-axle cranes in many scenarios.
Full customer support for Koltho Elevación and all mobile crane owners in Spain is provided by the local Manitowoc team. Services include parts, repairs, training, and more advanced customer support options, such as EnCORE™ rebuild and refurbishment.
Rafha Gruas Torre and Koltho Elevación are based in the port city of Cartagena, in the Murcia region of Spain. The company operates a fleet of over 60 tower cranes, including Potain models. The companies were founded by Rafael Garcia, who will, in the future, pass on leadership of the businesses to his two sons, Alejandro and Jose.

The Game Changer.
The GMK4080L is an outstanding four-axle taxi crane that, with its 60-meter-long boom, offers both the longest boom and the lowest gross vehicle weight in its class.
