Three Grove cranes and expanded customer support offering headline Manitowoc's JDL EXPO 2026 presence
- Manitowoc will bring three Grove cranes to JDL EXPO this September: the GMK5150XL, GMK4100L-2 and the GMK3060L-1.
- Alongside these models, Grove will also highlight the latest advances in its growing customer support operation.
- Potain will present its latest customer support products and will highlight its experience in constructing nuclear plants.
Manitowoc returns to France's premier lifting event, JDL EXPO, this September with three Grove all-terrain cranes and an expanded showcase of customer support solutions designed to maximize equipment performance and uptime. JDL EXPO is now one of Europe’s leading events for the industry, and 2026 will mark the 20th anniversary of the exhibition.
Manitowoc will demonstrate the versatility of its Grove all-terrain cranes, showing the GMK5150XL, GMK4100L-2, and GMK3060L-1. The GMK5150XL and GMK4100L-2 will be displayed in the colors of the FOSELEV Group while the GMK3060L-1 belongs to Groupe Cayon. Manitowoc will also spotlight its growing portfolio of customer support products and services to help owners maximize uptime, extend equipment life, and increase return on invested capital throughout the entire machine lifecycle.
“We’re proud to be part of JDL EXPO in its 20th year, and are ready to welcome customers, partners, and visitors to our stand,” said Olivier Regis, Manitowoc’s sales director of Grove mobile cranes in France. “We’ve got a great selection of cranes on show, but just as importantly we will be highlighting the support we provide through products, services, tools, and expertise to help customers get the most from their equipment. We have invested substantially in new service locations and personnel in France to help our customers achieve the maximum return from their Manitowoc products.”
Three class-leading cranes
The GMK5150XL is a class leader, with a 68.7 m main boom – the longest for a 150 t mobile crane on a five-axle chassis. Its extended reach enables owners to complete many lifts at height without needing to configure a jib, reducing rigging time and required space on the jobsite.
Another long boom model is the GMK4100L-2, a 100 t four-axle all-terrain crane offering compact dimensions, strong lifting performance, and long reach. The crane can reach almost 89 m when working with jib extensions while its narrow width of 2.55 m allows it to easily access tight working areas.
Completing the JDL EXPO line-up is Grove’s three-axle, 60 t capacity GMK3060L-1 which features a compact 8.67 m carrier plus a 48 m seven-section MEGAFORM® boom that combines excellent reach with exceptional load charts. The crane can be operated outdoors as well as indoors, thanks to load charts that start at a 0° boom angle.
Lifting more than expectations
Manitowoc’s customer support solutions at JDL EXPO will include the BCS camera system which delivers better all-round visibility for operators of mobile cranes and mobile tower cranes. There's also the updated Wire Rope Cleaner for Grove mobile cranes, along with the boom lubrication package and long-reach spray lance for servicing hard-to-reach areas.
“Manitowoc will have a strong focus on customer support at JDL EXPO, underlining our strategic evolution from a product-focused business to a customer-centric provider of full-lifecycle lifting solutions,” said Aurélien Raho, Manitowoc’s customer service director for mobile cranes in France. “We will also be highlighting our expanding regional capabilities. Last year, we opened a new facility in Bouaye and a further location in Meru. We now offer dedicated, focused customer support to owners across France and are growing our team of service technicians.”
Alongside Grove’s aftermarket presence, a number of Potain accessories will demonstrate how customers can keep their cranes running at maximum efficiency. Products on show will include the PP200 external battery for lower running costs and better environmental compliance. Anti-intrusion kits designed to help secure jobsites and prevent unauthorized access will also be displayed.
For operators, Potain will show its new autonomous urinal, which can be installed close to the cab and needs no water or drainage. And for technicians, a range of drop-prevention tools from GRIPPS® will be at the booth. Rounding out the aftermarket offering from Potain will be a selection of outrigger pads designed for self-erecting cranes. In addition to these accessories, more details on Potain’s future crane portfolio that complies with the new EN14439:2025 standard will be displayed.
Manitowoc will exhibit at Stand D50 at JDL EXPO 2026, which runs from September 16-18 at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune, France.
