Hoffman Equipment celebrates its 100th anniversary with new cranes from Manitowoc and Grove
Hoffman Equipment marked one century in the lifting equipment industry at this year’s CONEXPO. The Piscataway, New Jersey-based family-run company celebrated the date expanding its fleet with new Manitowoc and Grove cranes purchased at the show. The new acquisitions include a Grove GRT8120 rough-terrain and a Manitowoc MLC150-1 crawler crane (both launched at CONEXPO), a Grove GRT880, an RT770 and a Manitowoc MLC100-1.
Manitowoc’s Dave Hull, Keith Crider and Les Middleton presented Hoffman Equipment President and CEO Tim Watters and team — Pat Tomasetti, Joe Teahl, Mike Anderson, Steve Izzi, Eric Seikel and Walt Joachim — a celebratory plaque to mark the occasion.

GRT8120
The GRT8120 offers class-leading lifting performance with a 11,3 m to 60 m (37.2 ft to 197 ft) seven-section, MEGAFORM™ boom with TWIN-LOCK™ boom pinning system. This amount of main boom length is typically reserved for rough terrain cranes in the 135 t - 150 t (150 USt -165 USt) class, however when combined with a compact carrier with dimensions of cranes in the 70 t- 90 t (80 USt- 100 USt) class, makes the GRT8120 a truly versatile crane that should be in every crane owners fleet. And just like all GRT models, we are so confident in the performance and reliability of the GRT8120 that we are backing it with a two-year standard warranty.

GRT880
The GRT880 comes with a 12,5 m to 41 m (41 ft to 134.5 ft) four-section, full power boom that provides unmatched lifting performance in its class. This combined with a strong permissible line pull, powerful hoists, Cummins QSB6.7L engine with ECO mode, load sensing hydraulic system and Manitowoc’s Crane Control System (CCS) ensure that the GRT880 will deliver unmatched efficiency on the jobsite. And just like all GRT models, we are so confident in the performance and reliability of the GRT880 that we are backing it with a two-year standard warranty.

RT770E
The RT770E shares a common design platform with the RT765E-2 model, while providing higher nominal capacity and additional reach thanks to the 42 m (138 ft) five-section, full power MEGAFORM™ boom. The full vision cab ensures maximum visibility and operator comfort, while higher permissible line pull and faster line speed than competitive cranes allow for less rigging, higher efficiency and productivity on the jobsite.

The MLC100-1 is a competitive offering from Manitowoc in the 100 mt (110 USt) crawler crane market. Featuring self-assembly capabilities and button style wire rope terminations allow for quick and easy assembly.
