The contractor benefited from the crane’s easy set up and compact size.

Manitowoc to debut six new cranes at CONEXPO 2020

Manitowoc will unveil six new cranes at the show while several other models will make their North American debuts. In total, 10 cranes will be on display.
The new cranes will come from the Manitowoc, Grove, Potain and National Crane ranges.

RAR Group puts new Grove GMK6400 on wind farm job

Australian company RAR Group says the all-terrain crane has the best lifting capacity of any six-axle crane. 

The Grove GMK6400 is the biggest crane in RAR Group’s fleet. Since receiving the crane in January 2019, the company has deployed it on a wide range of projects. 

Potain Igo 22 installed on hard-to-reach job site in historic French city

A Potain Igo 22 has been successfully installed on a job site in the center of Avignon a historic city in southeastern France’s Provence region. Access to the job site was challenging as it is only accessible via very narrow streets. However local dealer Uperio supplied a mobile crane to carefully lift the Igo 22 into place and managed the necessary road closures making the installation possible.

First Potain MCT 325 Units sold to Active Crane Hire in Australia

Australian company Active Crane Hire purchased two Potain MCT 325 topless cranes during its launch in August. Both cranes will be delivered at the end of 2019 and will be mainly used for residential and commercial projects within Australia.

Two Grove cranes repair gantry crane at Australia’s first automated port

McKay United an equipment rental and service company in Australia deployed a Grove GMK7450 and a GMK5250L to repair a derailed gantry crane at Australia’s first automated port — Victoria International Container Terminal in Port Melbourne. The project was the biggest lift McKay United has completed since owning both Grove all-terrain cranes.

Manitowoc appoints Tracsa Group as exclusive Grove and National Crane dealer in Mexico

Long-standing Manitowoc Cranes dealers Sitsa and Tracsa are now the exclusive distributors for Grove and National Crane products in Mexico. Both companies form the Tracsa Group which will sell the complete range of Grove and National Crane products and offer parts aftersales services and support to customers in the Mexican market.

Irving Equipment improves its offerings with two additional Grove cranes

Irving Equipment (Irving) added two new Manitowoc cranes to its fleet: a GMK5250L and a TMS9000-2. With the two cranes the Saint John New Brunswick Canada-based construction company is able to perform two-hook operations which boosts its competitive edge.

Manitowoc to showcase best-in-class cranes at Excon 2019

Manitowoc will showcase two best-in class cranes from Potain and Grove at booth #OD69 during Excon 2019 South Asia’s largest construction equipment and technology trade fair which takes place December 10 – 14. Manitowoc will be sharing the booth with TIL its dealer in India for Grove mobile and Manitowoc crawler cranes.

Manitowoc appoints new French Potain dealer: Axyom

Manitowoc Cranes has appointed Axyom a French construction equipment sales company as a new distributor of Potain self-erecting cranes in northern France. Based in Normandy Axyom will expand its offering to customers by incorporating the Potain Igo Igo T and Hup self-erecting crane ranges.

Malaysian developer Gamuda adds three Potain MCT 385 cranes to its fleet

Malaysian equipment rental company Megah-Sewa is adding three Potain MCT 385 cranes to its fleet for the first time. Megah Sewa is the plant and equipment subsidiary of Gamuda the largest infrastructure development company in Malaysia and for its most recent investments it added three Potain topless tower cranes. The company selected these units in particular to improve project completion times and to work within its parent company’s new Gamuda Intelligent Building System division which handles prefabricated construction.
